The ENVE G23 700c Disc Gravel Wheels are both strong and extremely light at 1305g. Tailored for gravel cycling and optimal tire width is between 33 and 45mm, but accepts between 28mm and 50mm. At 1305 grams, the G23 is some of the lightest rims in ENVE's range. This without sacrificing durability, they are stronger and more durable than most MTB rims. Tailored to provide precision and feel on gravel roads and messy surfaces. The rim width, the low weight together with ENVE's Wide Hookless Bead Technology gives you comfort and grip you didn't think was possible on gravel.
EVEN WIDE HOOKLESS BEAD TECHNOLOGY
A wider rim edge distributes the force between the ground and the rim edge over a larger area. This reduces the risk of punctures by up to 60% compared to a regular rim edge. With reduced risk of punctures, you can ride with much lower air pressure without increasing the risk of punctures.
MOLDED SPOKE HOLE
ENVE has a patented manufacturing process where spoke and valve holes are cast directly during rim manufacturing instead of being drilled afterwards. This method keeps the fiber unbroken, making the rim stronger and lighter. The wheel also holds its tension better.
TIRE PRESSURE & ROLLING RESISTANCE
The trend is towards wider tires and lower air pressure, as this is both more comfortable and provides lower rolling resistance. ENVE tests tire pressures and it is important to follow ENVE's recommendations for tire pressure and compatibility. Read more here: ENVE's compatibility page
